LessonType

How the student performs a lesson relative to the reference: together with it (SINGALONG) or echoing each phrase after hearing it (SINGAFTER).

This is the lesson-level authority. Session behavior — the LISTENING→SINGING phase machine and reference-time mapping — keys on it, never on per-segment field sniffing. Segments carry the timing (the student-response windows); the lesson type says what that timing means.

Clients with richer catalog taxonomies collapse them to these two behaviors (e.g. singafter_meter_minusSINGAFTER).
